Retainer Tips

1. Your retainer should be worn at all times, except when eating, brushing your teeth, or taking part in any athletic activity.
2. To clean: scrub retainer with your toothbrush and toothpaste.
a. Do not wash in hot water
b. Clean over a sink with water, so if dropped, it won’t break.
3. Keep retainer away from animals, heated appliances, sun and cafeteria trays.
4. Do not chew gum with the upper/lower retainer in your mouth.
5. You will be charged for a replacement retainer if your original retainer is lost or broken. Use the retainer case to keep appliance in when not wearing it.
6. Please wear your retainer to each appointment.
